Tyma is a Wales Rugby League international, but not in the Wheelchair discipline. A newcomer to this version of the sport, Tyma has played nine times for Wales in the Physical Disability Rugby League (PDRL) discipline. The Jets will be his first major Wheelchair club, but he has played for Team Colostomy in the past, in both the PDRL and Wheelchair versions of the sport.
He started playing PDRL at Salford in 2022 where he was their Player of the Year, then made his Wales debut in that year's PDRL World Cup. He also played for Lancashire in 2025 plus the PDRL All-Stars side. In addition to Jets Wheelchair, he'll also turn out for Castleford Tigers PDRL in 2026.
Living with Spina Bifida, Tyma also has had Colostomy his whole life. He was encouraged to take up wheelchair rugby league alongside PDRL by the Spina Bifida charity Shine. The inclusive sports of PDRL and Wheelchair that rugby league provides has given him a chance to play sport and represent Wales.
