After the massive success of the inaugural “Jets Fest” last year in Ammonford, it’s over to Penallta RFC this year for “Jets Fest II” on Saturday 4th July.
Jets Fest is where sides from South Wales Jets face those from West Wales Jets at as many junior levels as possible, before the South Wales Jets’ men’s side play their latest fixture in the JES Rugby League Conference, taking on Rhondda Outlaws (kick-off 5.30pm).
The Outlaws start and finish the day on Pitch 1, as they will be taking on South Wales Jets U13 Greens at 9.30am.
The first-ever girls’ club match between two Welsh sides will also be one of the opening matches of the day, with South Wales Jets taking on Aber Valley Wolves at U12 level on pitch two at 9.30am.
In addition, visitors will be there from Torfaen Tigers, Swansea Rams, Cardiff Blue Dragons, and our very special guests from the north of England, Culcheth Eagles, who will take on South Wales Jets Girls U14s side.
Last season, around 400 players took part in the day, and we’re expecting even more this year, with 20 matches already scheduled to take place over ten hours on three pitches.
