The JES Group Rugby League Conference kicks off today (Saturday 31st May) as we travel to Aberavon Fighting Irish at Harlequins Field, Port Talbot (kick-off 2.30pm).

We have topped the table for the past two seasons, don’t forget that, and we want to keep up our one hundred percent record in the regular season.

In the Grand Final last year, we were separated by just a conversion and a drop-goal so it’s certain to be a tight affair.

That’s the only time in four clashes that Aberavon have secured victory against the Jets, and whilst they’ll be looking for a second, we don’t want to suffer defeat again.

Head coach Ben Flower said: “We have a few players missing, but we go to Aberavon full of confidence. We’ve been training for months, the lads have had pre-season friendlies behind them and they’re raring to go.

“And who better to start against than Aberavon. It’s at their ground and they’ll have all the home support to go with that, but we know we’ll have the travelling fans too to make a noise.”

Also, don’t forget to support the junior sides tomorrow if you can.
