Jets take on Bridgend tomorrow

South Wales Jets’ men’s side play a pre-season friendly tomorrow, when they travel to Pyle RFC to face Bridgend Blue Bulls (kick-off 2.30pm).

The match was organised following the delay to the start of the Conference season, which will now kick off on Saturday 31 May.

The first two rounds of fixtures have been moved, our first game, which was meant to be at Aberavon Fighting Irish, will be a main event at Summer Smash at Cardiff Arms Park, whilst the game that was meant to be tomorrow, against Cynon Valley Cavaliers, will be our final regular season encounter.

So, it’s off to Bridgend we go where the Bulls will certainly give us a strong game. Head coach Ben Flower said: “It’s great to lock horns with the Bulls in a pre-season match. We’ll face them again in a few weeks, but I know there will be a number of differences in the line-ups. This will be our last welcome chance to give players a run-out before the business really starts in a fortnight. Just great to be playing really.”
