We’re ready for Summer Smash

It’s Summer Smash tomorrow.

Make sure you’re at Cardiff Arms Park to support the boys as we take on Aberavon Fighting Irish in the shortly awaited return clash after being asked to travel there earlier this season. Kick-off is 3pm.

They took our title in the final. They beat us in the season opener. But now, it’s payback time.

Head coach Ben Flower makes just three changes to the starting line-up from the side that won so well away at Bridgend Blue Bulls last week.

Henry Parker and Craig Lewis are the only two who are unavailable this week, so Johnny Reid, who started on the bench last week, and Lewis Jones, both come in, starting as props, with Lewis Rowden in at second row. Shane Lee, who was loose forward last week, returns to his familiar stand-off position.

Ross Price, Chris Harris and Ben Jones also return, starting on the bench. Dafydd Hellard is travelling reserve.

Flower said: “We can’t wait for this. We’ve been training hard and everyone selected is really up for it. It’s the match everyone wanted to play in so some are disappointed, but that’s what we have as a club, we have people wanting to play every week and win for the Jets. We know it’ll be tough, but our young inexperienced side gave it their all against them last time. This game will be different.”

As an added bonus our Under 8s and Under 9s will also be playing throughout the day.
